Hi, I'm Lena
Hi, I’m Lena. I’m a writer, multidisciplinary artist, once a journalist by trade, now a side-hustling mother of three, but I’m probably best summed up as a storyteller. Born to Armenian parents who journeyed to the States by way of Haifa, Beirut and Aleppo, I'm a product of the language, art, literature, music, and food that followed them from distant parts of the world to our suburban Bay Area household. I’ve been raised a creative, always a notebook or sketchbook in hand, and feel pretty fortunate to still be in pursuit of the great storyteller’s life.
Pom & Peacock
Founded in 2019, Pom + Peacock is a whimsical art and paper goods brand proudly rooted in Armenian heritage and folklore, spawned from the first leg of my journey as a stay-at-home mom. Wholly inspired by my littles, I wanted to create images that honored their cultural identity. Pomegranates and peacocks are where I started. The brand has since evolved to encompass a variety of traditional and contemporary art genres and specializes in hand-drawn, painted and digital illustrations for personal and professional projects, brand collaborations and custom commissions. Our brand's latest venture—Paint with Pom + Peacock—is a boutique painting party service for team building, fundraisers and special events.
